Mathematical Methods 3 & 4 – Year 12

Lessons Description

About 88.5 hours of video tutorial recorded on 63 videos, followed by pdf text reference (about 451 pages). Each video has its title, depending on content of that video. In addition of reasonable volume of theoretical interpretation, there are about 1000 questions developed and worked out, every step, on white board by Maths Tutor with over 35 years of experience in teaching/tutoring high school mathematics. All questions were created on the bases of commonly asked students’ questions, past tests, SAC’s and exams, including plenty algebra, application of mathematical theory and development of mathematical concepts and all this with strong focus on tests and exam requirements

Instruction

Subject is divided in two parts: Unit 3 (45 hours on 31 videos), and Unit 4 (43.5 hours on 32 videos). Each Unit is divided in a few chapters. When you subscribe to unit, you don’t need to subscribe to any chapter as all chapters under that unit are included. The content of units is different from school to school. So, before you subscribe to our unit, make sure that you have all chapters that your teacher is planning to do at that unit. You, also, can subscribe to chapter by chapter and to be in line with your schoolteacher. You can see content, below, of each unit or click here for full detailed contents.

Exam Preparation and Revision

Lessons Description

The package of video lessons and examination manual (book in PDF format to download) is a successful trial to join exam preparation and detailed revision at the same time. This study material enables students to consolidate subject knowledge through real past examination papers and to get ready for their final exam. There are 20 hours of video lessons and 104 pages examination book.

The primary purpose of this study material is to help students in their preparation for Mathematical Methods 3 & 4 VCE exam. The core of the material are questions of two, original (without any changes), past examination papers (2016 and 2017). This study material is designed to help students  to consolidate knowledge of the subject, increase confidence, reduce stress and maximise exam performance. All this is done not only by fully working out each question, but also by deep revision of knowledge needed for each question followed by comments on how to apply that knowledge on other exam style questions.

To ensure that students will have all benefits of using this book and video lessons, the other important elements of exam preparation were build-in throughout all questions, such as:

  • All questions fully worked out with detailed worded explanation of each step.
  • Short, but concise revision of a chapter or part of chapter relevant to each question was given
  • Analysis of students’ weaknesses in some areas of knowledge whenever question indicates them, and concise explanation of concepts needed to improve those areas of knowledge.
  • Advices on how to avoid commonly made mistakes on exam for each suitable question.
  • Explanation of recognising examination requirements for each question.
  • Advise on how to show to examiner (by working out question) understanding and evaluation of the concept needed for the question.
  • Presentation of proven and useful examination techniques and how to think on exam.
  • Advise on how to prepare (at home) for exam.
  • How to maximise exam performance.
  • Advise on how to organise and use reference bound material
